BI Norwegian Business School - Best in the Nordic region on new ranking from The Economist

Member's News  |

The Economist has ranked the 40 best ‘Masters in Management’ programmes in the world. BI Norwegian Business School ended up at the 17th place, well ahead of a number of top international universities and business schools.

– This is a strong indication that our students and alumni are in demand in the international arena. The 39 other schools that have made the list are all reputed educational institutions from around the world, and we are therefore in good company, says President of BI Norwegian Business School, Inge Jan Henjesand.

In The Economist – Masters in Management (MiM) 2017 rankings, BI is ranked with its Master of Science in Business programme. BI is well placed ahead of the Norwegian School of Economics – NHH (26th place) and Copenhagen Business School – CBS (31st place). At the top of the list we find HEC School of Management, Paris, followed by University of Virginia (2nd place) and WHU (3rd place).

– The targeted effort to increase the quality of all our work in research and teaching over the last few years increases our ability to assert ourselves among the best in the international arena. The results are of great importance to our international reputation and the recruitment of talented students to Norway, says Henjesand.

High ambitions

BI Norwegian Business School achieves high scores on the following indicators: 'open career opportunities', 'diversity of recruiters - breadth' and 'range of and access to overseas study programs'.

– This ranking motivates us to continue working in a targeted way to further strengthen our international position in the years to come. This is of great importance to BI's appeal to the best national and international professors, students and businesses, says Henjesand.

The participating schools are ranked based on various criteria related to faculty, students, alumni and statistics from BI, which includes job offerings within three months of graduation, salary, and how students and alumni rank the school facilities and other services.
