And the Fransk-Norsk Trophée 2026 goes to… Statkraft!

We are proud to announce the launch of the French-Norwegian Sovereign AI Initiative, a major step forward in strengthening technological cooperation between France and Norway.
On 21 October, during Franco-Norwegian Day 2026 in Oslo, the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (CCFN), in partnership with Abelia and Numeum, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch this initiative, in the presence of the French and Norwegian ambassadors.
Through this initiative, the CCFN is bringing together businesses, research centres, investors and institutions from both countries to foster concrete partnerships and accelerate cooperation in strategic sectors, including artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, data centres, cybersecurity and critical digital technologies.
The ambition is clear: to turn shared priorities into tangible projects, facilitate the creation of new Franco-Norwegian consortia and develop European alternatives in key technology sectors.
Nearly 200 business leaders, decision-makers, experts and institutional representatives gathered in Oslo for this year's Franco-Norwegian Day, reaffirming a shared conviction: Europe's technological sovereignty, competitiveness and digital resilience will depend on stronger cooperation between countries committed to innovation, trust and long-term industrial development.
The signing of the MoU marks the beginning of a long-term commitment. In the coming months, joint missions, thematic workshops, business meetings and sector-specific initiatives will help transform this shared ambition into concrete projects and lasting industrial partnerships.
👏 Together, France and Norway can help shape Europe's digital future. The CCFN is proud to build bridges between both ecosystems and turn this ambition into action.
