The Fransk-Norsk Trophée is an award given by the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in partnership with BNP Paribas. It rewards a company, an organisation or an individual, having contributed in a special way to the development of trade and/or industrial cooperation between the two countries. It is the only award of its kind, which concerns trade between France and Norway.

This award is not essentially based on quantitative results, but mostly on qualitative ones. The candidates are judged according to the following criteria: strategy, innovation and progress, development and commitment towards the community, development of partnerships, public responsibility and financial criteria.

Air Liquide is the laureate for 2020

By this Trophy, the Jury* valued this year a French company whose activity in Norway is remarkable.

Air Liquide is a world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, supplier of gas, technology and services for the industrial and health care sectors. The company is represented in 80 countries, has approximately 667.000 employees and over 3,76 million customers and patients.

They managed to develop their activity in Norway through strategic cooperation with local companies.

Air Liquide Skagerak, the joint venture created with Skagerak Energy, a branch of the Norwegian utility group Statkraft, illustrates this. Air Liquide Skagerak markets and distributes natural gas and biogas to, among others, industrial companies, the transport sector, the maritime industry and public buildings.

Air Liquide is also involved in a hydrogen for mobility pilot project in Mongstad and has recently joined the Northern Light project, an ambitious Norwegian Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project in Norway.

Air Liquide is committed to innovate for a meaningful growth and its operations and projects in Norway are clearly showing the way.
