Roger Nougaret graduated from Ecole Nationale des Chartes in Paris (1982). He worked first as chief curator at the French National Archives, based at Nantes. In 1991, he took a position as Corporate Archivist at Crédit Lyonnais. From 2005 to 2008, he was appointed Group Archivist of Crédit Agricole SA, as well as head of Corporate Philanthropy. In 2011, he joined BNP Paribas Group to build a new Archive Department. Roger Nougaret is a member of the European Association for Banking and Financial History’s Academic Council (1998 onwards) and chairs the Section of Contemporary History of the Comité national des travaux historiques et scientifiques. He has published and edited books and articles in the field of corporate archives and banking history.
