• 1952: The CCFN proves to contribute greatly to business development between France and Norway. The CCFN counts 243 French and 307 Norwegian members. 
  • 1953: During the General Assembly Chairman Hjalmar Johnsen emphasizes his concern about the recent evolution, as leading countries such as England and France are leaving the liberalization line and introduce strict import restrictions. In return, Norway is following the liberalization line in accordance with the OECD recommendations.
  • 1955: During the General Assembly Chairman Hjalmar Johnsen welcomes the new French ambassador to Norway and points out that in 1954 there had again been a rise in the exchange of goods between the two countries both ways.
  • 1958: The General Assembly is opened by the new President of the Board: Erling Steen, also director of the Steen & Strøm stores.
