Smart Salmon is a Norwegian company specialized in the production of high-quality organic salmon.

Founded by three brothers who share an interest in salmon since childhood, they are currently preparing a project in France to establish an organic salmon farm off the coast of Brittany, in the northwest of France.

Their goal is to provide French consumers with superior quality organic salmon while ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly production. To achieve this, they are now working with French partners to obtain all licenses and building permits for 8,000 tons of fish. They have adopted innovative production practices, including using advanced technologies such as aquaponics, which allows for plant cultivation alongside fish, thus reducing environmental impact and increasing production efficiency. Indeed, the concept is a carbon-neutral and fully circular fish farm, with the ambition to have greenhouse productions from recycled resources from the fish farming production.

Smart Salmon is also committed to organic certification, guaranteeing salmon production without pesticides, herbicides, or other harmful chemicals to the environment or human health. Finally, their project in France also aims to create local jobs and contribute to the economic development of the regions where they are located.
